Meet PEOPLE’s Sexy Pet Vet & His Adorable Furry Family
A guy who loves animals is always a plus.
Which means People’s pet vet, Dr. Evan Antin, gets some major points. The veterinarian has dedicated his life to helping pets stay happy and healthy, and this includes his own brood of fur babies.
Before we get to know the work Dr. Antin does at the office, he wants us to meet the animals who have his heart at home. Dr. Antin is the proud papa to three pets: two cats and a dog.
Willy is a domestic short-hair kitty who is the vet’s best friend and a skilled cuddler. His fellow feline companion is Damian, a Russian Blue who was rescued after being abandoned in an attic. Keeping the cats in line is Henry, a Chihuahua and toy fox terrier mix, who has the bad habit of eating his poop … among other things.
This trio of cuties keep Dr. Antin on his toes and serve as a constant reminder to live in the moment.

Belly rubs make this hedgehog happy (and it'll make you happy too)
It's wintertime, and the holidays are fast approaching. There are travel arrangements to make, presents to buy, discussions of politics to avoid and winter weather to navigate. In short, we're all probably a little bit stressed at the moment. We need a way to unwind and just be.
Enter this hedgehog getting a belly rub.
This little critter is living its bliss. Its eyes are getting heavy. It's entering a state of pure relaxation. Focus on its calm face and let your worries and stress slip away for just a minute or two. You deserve it.
Dog Takes Christmas Picture Posing to Heart
There is nothing quite like the taking of holiday photos and this dog lacks nothing in the enthusiasm department.
Now get together and say “cheese.” Or perhaps “treats.”

Dog Living in an Abandoned Apartment by Herself for a Week Could Not Be Happier to Be Adopted
When this dog’s gross, neglectful humans were evicted from their Dallas apartment, they left her behind like a piece of trash. (Not that they were any kinder to her before – she had never even been on a single walk.) She spent a week there alone – no heat, no food, no water. Thankfully she was found before she froze or dehydrated to death. Now she has the best dad ever, who actually really needed her just as much as she needed him.
This is what her dad, “Humdrumdergifan,” posted on imgur:
24 hours ago, she was found in an apartment where the tenants were evicted a week ago. She has since been to the vet hospital where they boarded her, got her hydrated via IV and reintroduced her to food slowly over a 12 hr period. Before you even ask, she is so calm and chilled out that she doesn’t bark. She just whines very softly, that’s why no one heard her in the apartment.
The bottom half of her body, butt and tail are stained yellow from having to live in her own urine and feces for who knows how long. The apartment was completely destroyed and littered with feces and urine stains.
The tenant and her boyfriend kept the dog in a third floor apartment. Their version of letting her “go outside” was being let out onto the concrete balcony to take a shit. In DFW the past few nights, the temperature dropped to below freezing at night time and the AC/heat unit was turned off. In addition to being in jail for assault, the woman is now facing animal cruelty charges. I’m not sure if the animal protection laws were recently changed on a federal level or just the State of Texas, but the penalties have increased significantly. Karma is a bitch. Bitch.
She has no concept of a leash or a collar. I bought her a red stretchy harness to help with leash training. She is scared, timid, nervous and shy. I’ve been showering her with affection, attention and love. She’s already gaining confidence, weight and is turning into a real character. She has to be touching me at all times. She is the sweetest and most gentle dog I’ve ever had.
We have driven around a lot today for work. She’s a great traveler and companion. I couldn’t have found her at a better time in my life. She is perfect for me. The past 14 weeks of my life have been worse than a complete disaster. I’ve lost everything except my job and nothing about who I am or my “regular self” is present. I am a different person with a dramatically different life. I lost my two dogs to my soon to be ex wife and my psyche has been a complete disaster not having a dog to take care of the last 10 weeks. I need this dog just as much as she needs me. So happy.

Dashingly Dressed Therapy Dog Is Bringing Holiday Cheer to Bedridden Hospital Patients
A little dog is turning heads as he rounds the corners of the hallways at the San Gabriel Valley Medical Center in California. The therapy dog scoots about in a little VW van, bringing joy to all of the patients who are lonely or scared of being in the hospital.
Sancho, who can often be seen cruising around while sporting a Hawaiian shirt, has adopted a more festive look for the holiday season, and he’s lapping up all the extra attention. He and another dog are regular visitors to the hospital staff and patients – he even has his own ID badge!
“The patients are delighted to see him come down the hallway in the VW,” a spokeswoman for the facility told BuzzFeed. “Everybody loves it… everyone looks forward to the dogs coming in.”
But now this sweetie has become even more popular after photos of him decked out in his Christmas finest hit Twitter. “The pictures are so cute and you can tell that it makes people happy and it makes them smile just looking at it,” said Julie, whose mom sent her the photos of Sancho when she saw him at work.
