When Forsberg the golden retriever’s best friend died, he was completely devastated. So his mom did what she thought would cheer him up again – she brought him home a new kitty friend!
The 15-year-old had died of thyroid cancer, leaving 10-year-old Forsberg behind. Mom knew how much he loved his kitty, so she brought home a kitten named Maxwell to help heal his heart.
“Forsberg really missed having a cat. Problem solved,” said mom Jen Philion.
It worked. Though Maxwell will never be the same as his other treasured friend, Forsberg loves his new companion dearly.
